Here, the comination of sales and graphic design comes together.

“Thirty years ago, the former owner of LogoChoc came up with the idea that started it all and which they still thrive on today: making logos on chocolate. For about ten years, we were the only ones doing this, but then other companies entered this niche market.”

Sitting across from me is Toby Raaijmakers (33). Two years ago, the collaboration between him and LogoChoc began. Here, the combination of sales and graphic design came together. “I was always creatively engaged in designing logos and other things, which led me to study graphic design. I inherited sales from home. My father was always in sales as well. Selling was really ingrained in me from a young age.”

“The advantage of combining sales and graphic design is that you can immediately visualize the customer’s request, so they see what they will get in advance. This builds a lot of trust and speeds up the process.” Nowadays, his main task is sales. “My strength lies in being proficient in both areas. This way, you can really create something together, from idea to end product in both word and image.” In our business process, almost nothing ever goes wrong. If something does, we do everything we can to resolve it immediately. When we say we’ll do something, we do it. We truly stand by our customers. This might be why we’ve been nominated for ‘Supplier of the Year.”

Looking at his future plans, he is on track. “I am now where I always dreamed of being. I have a wonderful and healthy family, and I enjoy that every day. At the moment, I am a very content person.” What is the key to this happiness? “I think the key is finding a good balance between work and private life.”

“Show that you think differently; there should be more room for that. But the company you work for must also give you the space and trust. For me, it’s important to be yourself. LogoChoc thinks exactly the same way. By now, I have a nice network, and I get along well with everyone.”

Favorite product:
“Our logo bonbons are of the highest quality. They are the Bentley of chocolates, and you are free to print anythingon them.”

What are you looking forward to?
“The end of the year, the chaos. I love the hustle and bustle, running around together.”

What do you like most about your work?

“Making people happy, always being able to give gifts.”
